Pender Harbour (also known as ḵalpilin) is a water-centric community located on the north end of the Sunshine Coast, a ferry ride north of Vancouver located on the traditional territory of the shíshálh Nation. With fewer than 3,000 residences, many properties in Pender Harbour are waterfront, located on the shores of either a lake or the ocean.
Pender Harbour is the overall name for a collective of small settlements, including the surrounding unincorporated communities of Madeira Park, Kleindale, Irvines Landing, and Garden Bay. The communities within Pender Harbourform a “horseshoe” shape around the harbour, and are interspersed with freshwater lakes. Pender Harbour has a small-town vibe, yet offers a variety of amenities, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures, and the area is also home to artists, with galleries, artist studios, and regular live music events.
The gateway to Skookumchuck Narrows Provincial Park, Egmont is located at the northernmost end of the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada, a 1.5 hour drive from the Langdale ferry terminal. Only accessible by boat, Egmont is unique waterfront village on Secret Bay in the Sechelt Inlet.
