Gibsons

Known as “The Gateway to the Sunshine Coast”, Gibsons is a quaint seaside town located at the south end of the Sunshine Coast or British Columbia, Canada, a few minutes drive from the Langdale Ferry terminal. With a population of just under 5,000 residents (as of 2016), the majority of dwellings in Gibsons are single detached homes, apartment buildings, and condominiums.

Gibsons is perched on a hillside, with stunning views of the harbour and the nearby islands in Howe Sound. Gibsons gained national fame as the location for the hit show The Beachcombers, which aired from 1972 to 1990. GIbsons also earned international recognition in 2009, when it was named “Most Liveable Community under 20,000" by the UN-backed International Awards for Liveable Communities.

Ideally located for residents seeking a blend of water and land activities, Gibsons also offers cultural opportunities such as a farmers market, museums, art galleries, festivals, and events. With a laidback vibe and amazing views, Gibsons is the perfect place to call home.
